  • In great news for high-end interior designers, Trump's administration has requested $377 million for a renovation of the White House's West Wing, which has not had a full modernization since 1933. Hopefully Trump will be gone by then, so no need to worry about over zealous use of gold and glitz.

  • Netherlands: Envisioning the future, the Dutch city of Arnhem decides to take action now.

  • Wales: The reopening of pubs, restaurants and cafés indoors has been confirmed for Monday.

  • Chinese electric carmaker Kandi announced that it is bringing its electric vehicles to the US, making them the new cheapest electric cars in America - starting at $12,999 after federal tax credit.

  • Grant MisShapps: UK Transport Minister feels jets off to Spain on holiday this time last weekend and becomes immediate victim of his government’s new quarantine policy.

  • Tesla batteries are getting even better, announcing a 20% increase in battery density over the next 5 years, and thus continuing the pursuit of an ever more attractive alternative to the internal combustion engine.

  • The Crew Dragon spacecraft is scheduled to return from the International Space Station (ISS) and splash down in the Atlantic ocean on August 2. Contingent on a favourable weather forecast and a successful final week at the ISS, NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley will begin the undocking procedure today, and re-enter Earth’s atmosphere tomorrow - a total of 64 days since lift off.
