I Am Pregnant and I Got Hired

Mother's LinkedIn post goes viral with 80,000 likes and thousands of comments.

Interviewing for a job is stressful, but interviewing for a job while pregnant can be terrifying. But this pregnant woman was hired...

This is what Anna Franziska Hunger, a Talent & People Operations Partner at Kaya, wrote:

"I AM PREGNANT and I GOT HIRED. While this is becoming more mainstream, being a ‘pregnant hire’ still feels like an oxymoron. One clear indication: I was terrified of breaking the news throughout the interviews (though coming from People Ops, I should know better) and several times got the 'well intended' advice to hide my pregnancy until signing.

I decided not to compromise and tell the truth, 6 months pregnant (again). I want to be a role model to my daughter and work for a company that values and empowers working mums that juggle two toddlers.

The result: I got the job, incl. maternity leave and I couldn't be more motivated to join a progressive thinking and inspiring team.

Thanks KAYA VC for trusting in me and excited to get started and support more founders, people teams and scale ups in all things talent and people operations."
