The World Cup trophy will be arriving in style on Sunday, because Louis Vuitton has revealed the bespoke Trophy Trunk that will carry the official trophy.

The Louis Vuitton 2026 FIFA World Cup Trophy Trunk marks the fifth time the luxury brand has designed such a case for the tournament. The bespoke trunk, and the coveted trophy housed inside, will make their way to the pitch for the first time at the final game of the competition, which takes place on Sunday in New Jersey.
Handcrafted at Louis Vuitton's Asnières atelier on the outskirts of Paris, the trunk stays true to the LV's classic aesthetic. Wrapped in the brand's iconic Monogram canvas, it is finished with a striking gold "V", representing both victory and Vuitton, while gold-tone metal hardware nods to the trunks Louis Vuitton first began producing in the 19th century. Inside, the trophy is housed within a light beige leather-lined interior, complete with bespoke detailing celebrating the collaboration with FIFA.
The current FIFA World Cup trophy is made primarily from 18-karat (75%) solid gold. It contains 5.092 kilograms (11.23 pounds) of pure gold and stands on a base decorated with two rings of green malachite, a semi-precious stone. Designed by Italian sculptor Silvio Gazzaniga, the trophy depicts two human figures lifting the Earth, symbolizing the global nature of the tournament.
Despite being relatively small at 14.5 inches (36.8 cm) tall, its high gold content makes it surprisingly heavy. If it were made from pure 24-karat gold, it would likely be too soft to withstand being handled and lifted by generations of champions.
The only question that remains is which team will get to raise the trophy aloft.
