Kevin Ford posted a video on TikTok in which he showed the gifts he received after 27 years of work for the fast food chain (during which he never missed a day!) which included a movie ticket, a Starbucks cup, a bag of Reese’s Pieces, two packs of Life Savers, two pens, a lanyard and two keychains.
In the video, Ford said: “This is my reward for working 27 years. Thank you guys!” The video went viral and - rather unsurprisingly - many people criticised the gifts, which prompted Ford's daughter to launch a GoFundMe campaign which hit its target of $450,000 just before New Year. As a result of the generosity from thousands of donors, Ford was able to use a portion of the donations to buy his first home, TMZ reported.
In a recent TikTok video, Ford gave his legions of supporters a glimpse of the property and thanked them for making the purchase possible.
“I know it’s not a mansion, but it's mine,” he said while showing off the property. “I want to thank everyone all around the world for what you’ve done for me, something that I thought would never be possible for me: home ownership.”
"I am totally humbled and full of gratitude for all the support I have been given and continue to receive from all of the wonderful and generous people of America and all around the world!!!" Ford told People.
"This is beyond a dream come true and is truly a miracle," he adds.
