Namibian Quiver Tree Forest

Very few people have been lucky enough to look at a Quiver Tree, but now's your chance from the comfort of your armchair. The quiver tree is Namibia's national tree and is protected. This forest has been declared a national monument. The forest comprises about 250 specimens of Aloidendron dichotomum, a species that is also locally known as the quiver tree (Afrikaans: kokerboom) because San people traditionally used its branches to make quivers.
