The Airwolf Flying Motorbike

There seems to be no end to the number of companies creating flying machines to try and tempt us into the skies.

The Airwolf can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3 seconds and go on to reach a top speed of 140 mph - undoubtedly ensuring a thrilling ride in the driver's exposed seat. The craft will have a carbon-fiber chassis, a fully electric powertrain, and four 3-D-printed Electric Ducted Fans, known as tiltrotors.

The Airwolf, a zero-emissions eVTOL, is capable of taking off and landing vertically with precision flight controls and, a major bonus - enough space for a passenger behind the driver. It also has fixed wings for gliding in emergencies. It's expected to be able to fly for 25 exhilarating minutes - with a range of 60 miles.

The Czech team is currently testing a scale prototype at Technology Readiness Level 5 of 9 which, in NASA parlance, means “component validation in the relevant environment.” For the rest of us, says Robb Report, that means the two-seat eVTOL still has years of development ahead, but the company is moving toward a full-scale, working prototype.
